Starting or continuing post secondary studies this autumn? We have an immediate opening for a Museum Manager/Curator Assistant.
Then position is responsible for assisting with providing an exemplary visitor experience, including reception of museum visitors, conducting tours, interpretation of exhibits and supporting guest speakers. The position also assists with organizing and documenting special events, youth and senior activities and celebratory events.
Duties include customer service and cash handling for admissions, memberships and retail sale (including ice-cream), maintaining records of events and activities. Other general duties include such items as cleaning and lifting.
Duties may also require use of basic computer programs, social media postings and related activities.
Our position will hone life-long skills and abilities. This job will require good communication ability, personal integrity, dedication to teamwork and strong interpersonal skills. This is a front-of-house job which involves constant work in the public eye.
The position starts as soon as possible and finishes not later than August 31st; 35 hours/week; $13.35/hr.
