Miners’ Picnic

A wonderful recreation of the old Miners’ Picnic. For years the Springhill residents would board the train bound for Parrsboro, kids and sandwiches in tow for an afternoon of fun (and sometimes mischief).

The bus will leave Springhill on August 19 and travel to Ottawa House. There will be history and many stories told by the experts on the way. Tickets for the bus and picnic lunch are $20 each and if you don’t want to take the bus, have a picnic at Ottawa House for just $10.
